


Hasanul Huq Jacky is a filmmaker, editor, and cinematographer with a wealth of experience in both independent and commercial productions. Jacky has worked in various private companies as a program producer or video maker since 2012, honing his skills and earning a reputation for excellence. One area in which Jacky excels is educational film and television program production. In 2012, he made his mark on the international stage with his first educational short documentary film, “The Flask,” which was officially selected in more than 20 international film festivals, including the 9th Aljazeera International Film Festival, Bangkok University Short Film Festival, Mexico International Short Film Festival, Amazing Thailand Film Festival, Goa International Film Festival, among others.
Since then, he has produced nine more shorts and educational films for broadcasting, each showcasing his skills in media research, idea and script development, direction, and cinematography. In recognition of his exceptional talent and expertise, Jacky has been invited to work on various projects around the world. In 2013 and 2014, the Thailand Ministry of Tourism sought his services to create three documentary short films aimed at promoting tourism in the country. The resulting films, “Beauty of Thailand” “1000 Baht” and “Virtual Love” were a testament to Jacky’s ability to capture the essence of a place and bring it to life on the screen. Jacky is currently working on a movie based on author Selina Hussain’s book which is in pre-production. Also, the one-episode drama called“Prothom Purush” directed by him is currently streaming on Bongo. In 2022 He got the prestigious NHK JAPAN Prize 2022 for his Documentary film “The Story of the Dew”
